Prof. A. K. Kandya is a retired Professor of Botany from Dr. H. S. Gour University, Sagar, M.P. He had a long experience of teaching post graduate students of Forestry and Environment. He has supervised 22 students for Ph.D. programs. He had been a DAAD Fellow (1976-1978) at the Institute of Forestry, Hamburg, Germany, and at the Institute of Silviculture, Freiburg, Germany (1983). He had also been a JSPS Fellow (1985-1986) at the Department of Forestry, Ehime University, Matsuyama, Japan and Guest Professor at the University of Applied Sciences, Eberswalde (2001 and 2005). He delivered invited lectures and chaired sessions at the IUFRO International Symposia at Curritiba, (Brazil, 1984) Tsukuba, (Japan, 1985), Colombo (Sri Lanka, 1987) Harare (Zimbabwe, 1987) and several places in India. He has edited/written six books and has published more than 100 research papers, monographs and review articles in journal of repute in and outside India.
