Dr. Alka Lohani is working as Associate Professor at Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. She obtained her B.Pharm and M.Pharm degree in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) from Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India, and her Ph.D. in Pharmacy from IFTM University, Moradabad (U.P), India. Her area of research expertise is dermatology, development of cosmetic formulations, transdermal drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, and polymer-based drug delivery systems. Dr. Alka has gained international recognition and prestigious grants, including the IBRO-International Travel Grant to attend Neuroscience schools in Nepal (2024) and Hyderabad (2022). Her research excellence was acknowledged at the IBRO Neuroscience School Nepal-2024, where she received the 'Best Dream Project' award for her outstanding project. With over 12 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Alka has made significant scholarly contributions. She has authored more than 30 research articles published with renowned international publishers like Elsevier, Wiley Publishers, Taylor and Francis, Hindawi and MDPI. Dr. Alka has edited 2 books and published several book chapters with Elsevier, Nova publisher and Apple Academic Press. In addition, she holds three patent publications and one design patent.
