Beedu Sashidhar Rao

Beedu Sashidhar Rao received his Master�s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Hyderabad in 1981 and Ph.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, pursing doctoral research work at the National Institute of Nutrition, in 1987. He joined the Department of Biochemistry, Osmania University, as a faculty member in 1988. Presently, he is working as an Associate Professor in Biochemistry. During 2002-04, he also served as the coordinator & chairman, BOS, of the forensic Science Unit of the department. He is actively engaged in research and teaching postgraduate students over the past sixteen years. His research interests are in the areas of Food toxicology (Mycotoxins, Alkaloids and Pesticides), Biomarkers and Immunodiagnostics. He has authored several research papers, published in both national and international journals.
