K.S. Beena

K.S. Beena obtained her Ph. D from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She has more than thirty years of teaching and research experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, contributing a number of papers in international journals and conferences. She is a recipient of the prestigious Endeavour Fellowship award from the Government of Australia. She has undertaken many funded research projects and produced eight Ph. D degrees under her guidance. Presently, she is Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology and Professor in Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, CUSAT. She is also an active consultant in the area of geotechnical engineering, ground improvement, and ground disaster management.
