He is Reader at the UGC -Human Resource Development Centre (formerly Academic Staff College) of the Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India.  He has triple Post Graduate degrees (Psychology, Education, and Political Science) to his credit and has M. Phil. and Ph.D. in Educational Counselling Psychology from Annamalai University. His research areas are mainly Teacher education, Mental health, Educational and Counselling Psychology, Career Counselling, School Psychology, and Integral Education. His recent published works are School Psychology: Enhancing Psychological Competencies, Educational Psychology, School Psychology: Counselling Perspectives, Life Skills for Quality Life, European Educational Resources, Effective Teaching Skills,Recent Studies in School Psychology, etc. He is Founder Secretary, Indian School Psychology Association, Editor, Journal of the Indian Academy of Applied Psychology, Associate Editor, Indian Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Psychological Researches, Madras Psychology Society, Chennai.He has published a number of scientific papers and articles in National and International Journals and has contributed chapters to several edited books.
