S Mohan Das, soil scientist, basically a researcher, has vast experience in coconut and rice research. Presently, he is a teacher of soil science for the undergraduate students in agriculture in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.  So far he has authored a number of books in English and in vernacular language. In addition, he has written a number of book chapters and published more than 68 research papers. He has authored a textbook Introduction to Soil Science for undergraduate students. He has also operated number of research and extension projects in the field of agriculture. He has guided PG students in the field of soil science.
