Dr. Waseem Ahmad (Faridi) is a faculty in Centre of Excellence in Genomic Medicine Research (CEGMR, KAU, KSA) acting as Professor Research in Genetics and Genomics, and coordinator of Department Development Program. He also worked earlier as Professor of Medical Biology, Faculty/ College of Medicine and Professor of Biology, in Faculty of Biology/ and as consultant of CEGMR, KSA. He also founded Department of Biological Science and served as Founder Head in Eritrea Institute of Technology, Asmara , a UNDP project. For about three decades he was on a permanent role as faculty, a Professor of Genetics and Molecular Biology in the Faculty of Life Science, Department of Zoology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (UP). His research interests include Molecular Genotoxicity and Genomic Medicine. He authored many books on topics such as AIDS, DNA, Human Genetics and Genetics and Genomics. The recent endeavor, Cell to Genome: Advance Concepts and Diseases, is due shortly.
